„Lines, shapes, reflections - Light. The most ordinary thing where I see the extraordinary.“
Hello, Thank you for visiting my webpage and your interest in my work. I’m Mark, photographer born and raised in Berlin. I studied photography at Lette-Verein Berlin, one of the oldest schools for photography in Germany. Before I started to take photographs as a hobby in 2014, I worked as a hotelier since I was eighteen. I was good at it. People felt comfortable around me and complimented my work and kind behavior. That made my Job easy. Making people happy was easy for me. But I was not fulfilled. I wanted to create. I wanted to create something that lasts longer than a cocktail. Thats when a dear friend placed a camera in my hand. I was fascinated how light has an effect on every shape and line you see and that you are able to manipulate it with this device. From that moment on, I was hooked. I’ve quit my Job at the Hotel and worked out a plan to become a professional photographer. I started to assist a photo artist named Roland Wirtz for a year to learn about the mindset of an artist. Then I applied and got accepted at Lette-Verein Berlin to learn about the craft. And after three years here I am, being a photographer. And absolutely happy about it.
